Micro Aerial Projects third World Bank Conference

Micro Aerial Projects third World Bank Conference

Three years ago (2013), Micro Aerial Projects L.L.C. first attended the World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty giving a paper with Dr. Grenville Barnes of the University of Florida and Kevin Barthel of the Land Alliance titled “Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to democratize spatial data production: Towards Spatially Enabling Land Administration”. After this presentation, Micro Aerial Projects L.L.C. was contracted by the World Bank for our expertise in the use of UAS and in Land Surveying to test the usefulness and effectiveness of using this technology for property rights documentation in Albania through an Innovation Grant. This year, Micro Aerial Projects L.L.C. show cased an example in slum upgrading in Africa. In addition we were also the first Unmanned Aerial Systems solutions company to display this  highly enabling technology at the first World Bank Innovation Fair. We would like to thank those who came by our booth to visit us! It was great to see how much interest there was in our innovative approach from a diverse international attendance, from Benin to Columbia, Namibia to Indonesia, China to the USA, and many places in between!
